Ripe mangoes are a fine
source of potassium as well as vitamin A-good for your eyes. In fact
Scientists have noted that the blindness caused by vitamin A deficiency is
rare in India's mango growing areas. Vitamins B1, B2 and C are abundant,
especially in unripe mangoes. Raw ones are also rich in iron and protein.
Mangoes are low in carbohydrates, and have almost no fat. But do not
overindulge-too many mangoes can upset your stomach and cause diarrhea. |
