1. Be ruthless :-
Discard items which haven't been used in a year and half.
Unused presents and wrong purchases block chi, apart from taking up
unnecessary space. Get rid of all unnecessary or spoilt appliances: Clutter
results in stagnant chi, preventing a free flow of energies. Only display
items that are used regularly and do not get in the way.
2. Keep waste baskets clean and out of
sight :- Stagnant chi can also take the form of
smell. Bad, stale smells could be depleting your kitchen of vibrant healthy
chi.
3. Spring-clean the cupboards
regularly :- Every six months or so make your
storage spaces organized, uncluttered and easily accessible Also, fit
cupboards and shelves with rounded corners to ensure a smoother flow of chi
energies. Try to avoid any sharp edges pointing at you while preparing your
meal.
4. Bowls of fresh fruit and flowers
:- Every six months or so make your storage

4. Bowls of fresh fruit and flowers
:- These are great ways of attracting quality chi
into your kitchen and food. Make sure old fruit and dying flowers are
replaced with fresh ones immediately.
5. Discard chipped plates :-
Chipped crockery is detrimental to chi.
6. Cork flooring :-
It is preferable to have flooring of this kind. This is more
Yin in energy, enabling you to spend more time comfortably in the kitchen.
Stainless steel fixtures and ceramic tiles are more Yang in nature and can
create fast-moving chi. This may not be ideal if you want to spend a lot of
time in your kitchen. It may leave you feeling drained or tired. Wood
surfaces are also suitable for the kitchen.
7. Never position your stove and sink
next to each other :- Water and fire are complete
opposites. But if it can't be helped, place a small plant or pot of herbs in
between to weaken the negative influence.
8. Clean regularly :-
You'd be surprised at the old, forgotten items you will find
in the fridge. Throw them away. Clean the stove thoroughly and unblock the
burners every three months. Burn a scented candle or incense sticks while
you work to clear the air. Wipe surfaces with vanilla essence or
aromatherapy oils diluted in water.
9. Smile at your kitchen! |
