Broccoli Recipe
Over the last 20 years, numerous studies have found that
people who eat lots of broccoli have a significantly reduced incidence of
cancers of the colon, breast, cervix, lungs, prostate, esophagus, larynx,
and bladder. Some of the compounds in broccoli block the action of hormones
that stimulate tumours. Other compounds inhibit tumour growth or boost the
action of protective enzymes. Broccoli is also high in bioflavonoid and
other antioxidants, substances that protect cells against mutation and
damage rom molecules known as free radicals. |
